I work in a busy warehouse. There are lots of forklifts and large machinery called, “reach lifts.” Reach lifts are easily twice the size of forklifts. When we travel out of an isle, around a corner, or through one building into the next, we honk the horns as a way of communication. If you cannot see over your load, you drive backwards and look over your shoulder so that you can see around you. We also have a few electric pallet jacks which we can ride on and load up.
I was filling one of my orders one day and I was riding on one of the electric pallet jacks. As I was coming out of one of the isles, I honked my horn several times to warn others I was coming through. My load was stacked in front of me. Another warehouse worker was bringing double-stacked pallets from one of the connecting warehouses into the one I was in, but because he thought the room was empty and he had many pallets to bring through, he was driving with the pallets in front of him, which he could not see over.
As I came out of the aisle, he did not see or hear me, and was coming right at me. I didn’t have enough time to move my pallet jack out of the way, so I simply jumped off and put my back against a sheet rock wall to avoid the collision. At the very last second, he saw my pallet jack and swerved around it. There was very little room between us and he was going at about 10 miles per hour. I had no time to move or even really think before he ran me into the wall. It’s not like there was room for me to bounce or fall backwards because my back was against the wall. He simply crushed me with over a thousand pounds of materials that were significantly bigger than I was.
He hit me so hard, with so much weight and speed, that my back and spine were crushed into the wall. Blood shot from my mouth. Blood was everywhere. Blood was on the floor, on the pallets, on the reach lift, and all over the wall I was crushed into. My chest was completely crushed and I cannot even tell you the condition of my spine. As I slid down the wall, there was a big streak of blood following me. I was bleeding from either my back, the back of my head, my ears, or somewhere else I did not know about. I lost so much blood that I got very dizzy and I felt myself falling unconscious. I don’t know if I was dying or not, but it was terrible.
I grabbed ahold of my thoughts and screamed as loud as I could with a crushed chest, “I am healed in the name of Jesus Christ!” When I hit the floor, my whole body seemed to reboot. I wasn’t bleeding anymore (although there was still blood everywhere) and as I stood up, I stretched out my back. I heard many cracking sounds and my chest also re-inflated.
I stepped out from behind the pallet to see the horrified young man who had rammed me into the wall. I told him that I had just been healed! He couldn’t believe it! He asked me if there was anything he could do for me. I started thinking about something that I had been praying for, and I was going to ask him for it, but a scripture came to my mind. In Matthew 10: 8, Jesus said, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” So I told him that nothing was necessary and that God had delivered me, and I went back to work!
Another wonderful blessing came a little while later that day. I went in to see my boss to pick up more work. She explained that one of the shipments had come back, and she did not want to send it out again – I could take whatever I desired. Sure enough, that shipment was filled with what I had been praying for earlier and decided not to ask the young man for!
On top of all this, I shared my testimony with a young lady who was not a believer. She began asking many questions and that night, she got born again!
Daniel 3: 29b “…because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.” Only God is capable of these wonderful miracles. I pray that this testimony blesses and inspires you as it does me! There is nothing too big, or too small, for God. There is no cloud too high, and there is no ocean too deep, for God. Go to Him, and HE SHALL DELIVER YOU!
Glory to God always, and much love from your brother in Christ.
This is how God is powerful! He is always there when we need us. Thank you for this wonderful post!
